E3 2012: Upcoming Zelda Games / Zelda Remakes

In 2011 after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and the Zelda Wii U Tech from Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011 (E3 2011), it was announced that an original Zelda title for the Nintendo 3DS was under development. [link] And, the Majora's Mask remake was finally considered. [link]

Now, since the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2012 (E3 2012), a HD video trailer of Majora's Mask was shown, which is heavily implied to be from the Wii U (it was the work of Zelda fans, not Nintendo). It was also announced about an upcoming Zelda game related to the Super Nintendo game A Link to the Past. [link] However, it was confusing, since it was stated to be a remake of A Link to the Past instead. But, there are lots of chances to turn out to be the new sixth Zelda game of the Downfall Timeline (which is what others refer it to as the Decline Timeline).

While currently discussing mostly about the two titles; Majora's Mask and A Link to the Past, Nintendo has hinted many times that there will be 3DS remakes for these two. [link] But, there are also lots of possibility for one of them, the upcoming remake or the other game involving A Link to the Past, to be released for the Wii U, and the other for the 3DS. [link]

P.S.: I admit, I'm a bit confused. Personally, I prefer the remake of Majora's Mask to be released for the Wii U. The remake can prove some more relations to Twilight Princess. The sidequest of Kafei and Anju would be more epic in it, I believe. The romance of these two can be improved as well. Kafei would be more like a main character of the game too. If the gameplay would be improved, Deku Link, Goron Link, Zora Link and Fierce Deity Link, including the enemies, should be improved as well. I think this is for the best for the secret adventure of the Hero of Time. I wish to have A Link to the Past remake for the Nintendo 3DS, which would have to be a 3D game instead of 2D. The gameplay would have to be just like the 3D Zelda installments (Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword). It would be more related and show more references from Ocarina of Time. It should also reveal more details about how the alternate Adult Timeline split was made and about the events prior the beginning of A Link to the Past. It would turn the remake a game about the same level of my second favorite Zelda game, The Wind Waker. Then, we can have the new original Zelda game for the Nintendo 3DS taking place in the Downfall Timeline.

I used four official wallpaper artworks from Majora's Mask (left) and A Link to the Past (right). The up-left depicts Link and his alternate forms from the three masks that contain the spirits of the Brave Ones (Deku Butler's Son, Darmani and Mikau). Fierce Deity (an implied Terminan counterpart of an incarnation of Link) is missing though. The down-left depicts Link and Tatl on South Clock Town on the third Final Day. The Moon is shown to be closer to the Clock Tower. The up-right depicts the Hero of Time's descendant of the Downfall Timeline fighting a Geldman in the Desert of Mystery (a region of Hyrule closely related to Desert Colossus and Haunted Wasteland from Ocarina of Time. And the down-right is an artwork that depicts the Sacred Realm before Ganondorf enters it to steal the Triforce and turn it into the corrupt Dark World.
