Link VS Wart

Several years have passed on Zelda's timeline, Wart managed to awaken back on Mushroom World. Many years have passed on Mushroom World after him from his subconsciousness being exiled to another dream land and made a return after several years on Zelda's timeline.

Link from Sea Side would fight Wart for some reasons. Why would they fight each other? Could Wart have considered him as a threat? Have something happened between these two? Could Link's incarnation have noticed something familiar of this Frog King?
